Well folks, if you weren't sad about summer coming to a close you'll be puzzled to hear us say "HAPPY NEW YEAR". That's right, you heard it here first. Happy 2016. May this year be filled with tacky single track, shaded roads and car free commutes. In honor of the New Year we felt it a perfect time to introduce you to some of the sweet new product rolling through our door.
As most of you may know by now, we are avid mountain bikers. We find solace and complete bliss careening through the woods on our two wheeled steeds. So we were super pumped to see the 2016 Mountain Lineup from Cannondale. With some great new additions and updates to an already heavy hitting line-up, Cannondale found a way to out do themselves yet again.
We'll start this one out with a bang! Freshly built and on the floor is the Cannondale Habit 4. With 27.5" wheels and 120mm of front and rear wheel travel, this bike is sure to find a happy home on our beloved mountain bike trails. The Habit platform starts at $1950 - the Habit 4 (pictured above) comes in at $2880.
The Trail Hardtail line received some significant changes. For 2016, the entire Trail series now comes with 27.5" wheels. With a tight geometry and solid spec the Trail has been our go to for beginners and experienced riders alike. The Trail series starts at $815 - the Trail 3 (pictured above) comes in at $1080.
Don't think because we spend our time hobnobbing with the deer we've forgotten about our road riding comrades. I mean, who doesn't love a heart pumping ride through our amazing Metroparks (shout out). Especially now that the road has been resurfaced - butter. Here are just a few of the new gems we've received.
Ladies first - because always. We just received the go to choice for 2015, the Synapse Carbon. As some of you may know, we had some serious trouble keeping these in stock but they're back and ready to roll. The Synapse Carbon 105 (turquoise - $2240) and the new Synapse Carbon Tiagra (white - $1840) are sure to be hits this season. Great fit. Great ride. Just come in and ask Brittany - she's been shredding some serious asphalt gnar on hers this year.
Bask in the glory folks. I purchased my first road bike in 1999 - it was a Cannondale CAAD 4. I have a feeling some of you remember that bike. Besides the CAAD 6, I have owned and enjoyed every CAAD since and I must say, the all new CAAD 12 is beyond impressive. I'm still not sure how Cannondale continually improves upon an already amazing platform, but its a win win for us. With yet a lighter frame, more compliant frame this crams performance into a very affordable package. The CAAD 12 starts at $1680 with the 105 version pictured above.
Last, but never least, the mens Synapse Carbon. I don't know what more can be said about this incredible bike. When Cannondale sought to create their response to the ever growing endurance road category, sacrificing the performance characteristics their road bikes had become known for was never an option. After multiple renditions, I can say with complete confidence, they found perfection. With the agility of a race bike and comfort of an all day road machine, the Synapse is the go to for any rider looking for the perfect blend of 'smooth speed' (gonna have to TM that one). The Syanpse Carbon starts at $1840 with the Tiagra equipped model (Ultegra 4 model pictured - $2660).
We've received more bikes then I can count, or photograph, or describe. Stop in and check them out, take 'em for a spin and fall in love.
This is the elusive Easter egg. More will be revealed soon.
