It's not every day we get to introduce a new mountain platform......said no one in the past year. It seems like every time I turn on my computer I'm reading about a new platform of fat tire love - and you know something, I'm A OK with that. The way I see it, if it means more people riding through the woods then I say bring it all on. With that said, I would like to introduce you to the all new Rocky Mountain Bicycles Suzi-Q :: Mid-Fat Trail Slayer.
THE BIKE :: If you haven't heard of the MID-FAT movement then pull up a chair and prepare for a mind massage. Rocky's goal with the Suzi-Q was to create a + hardtail without some of the fat bike hangups - most notably the ultra wide q-factor. Boasting an 83mm wide bottom bracket shell* and a 27.5" x 3.8" tire the SQ offers riders a more natural pedal feel with plenty of traction in the gnarliest of conditions.
We received the Suzi-Q -50 and -30 - both of which feature a hydro formed 6061 frame with braze-ons galore for all your long distance / bike packing needs. Note - the SQ -50 specs a full carbon fork thus no braze-ons.
WHY WE'RE EXCITED :: With a tire capable of devouring the rocks and roots of NEO the Suzi-Q creates an experience more familiar to a traditional mountain bike without being restrictive. Don't get us wrong, we're still big fans of the Blizzard but the SQ offers up something a little more ideal to people looking for something well balanced for year round fun.
Stop by and check it out - as well as our great selection of fat bikes. All built to keep you riding outside.
