From our friends at Bike Cleveland:
If you love bikes and Cleveland, then you need to ride the MCPc Fundo p/b Bike Cleveland on September 13th as part of NEOCycle! The MCPc Fundo is a casual, fun ride that exposes people of all ages and fitness levels to many of Cleveland’s unique neighborhoods by bicycle. The ride is fully supported with regular rest stops and support vehicles, and allows you to choose from fully marked courses of 10, 31 and 62 miles.
Why participate? Well, aside from the fun you will have and learning about parts of Cleveland you might not otherwise be familiar with, The MCPc Fundo is an important fundraiser for Bike Cleveland’s advocacy efforts! What does Bike Cleveland do? Bike Cleveland builds livable communities by promoting all forms of cycling and advocating for the rights and equality of the cycling community. They are the preeminent voice for cyclists and pedestrians in Greater Cleveland, and make sure that cyclist and pedestrian needs are considered when the discussion turns to transportation infrastructure and policy. Bike specific infrastructure, police training, advancing bike friendly laws and policies (like the 3-foot passing law), and bringing a city-wide bike share program to downtown are all part of what Bike Cleveland does.
The ride departs and concludes at the NEOCycle Hub at Edgewater Park where you will be able to enjoy live music, cold beer, and great food from a variety of food trucks; along with vendors and activities for the whole family! Registration is open now! Go to MCPcFundo.com or to sign up and join the fun!
