This ingenious device allows you to get back home should you break your hanger out on the road or trail. Simply remove your broken hanger, derailleur and QR skewer nut. Put the QR skewer through the Emergency Hanger, remove the spring and re-attach the nut. Secure the QR nut and skewer down tightly. Re-attach the derailleur and away you go! In most cases you should have the ability to shift throughout half (or more!) of your rear cassette range. The Spyre is a mechanical disc brake that offers superior performance with incredibly easy setup. This is a dual-piston-actuated mechanical disc brake caliper that provides precise clamping force. This translates into even pad and rotor wear, because the rotor does not need to flex to one side during braking. We added a simple cable barrel adjuster to make fine-tuning easy. All of this in an incredibly thin 40mm, 146g package that works with any drop bar levers on the market. Rotors and adapters are sold separately. For tandem bikes, we recommend the Spyre caliper paired with our 2.3mm thick rotors. This will give optimum stopping performance for you and your partner. In 2016, TRP began working with reigning world cup champion Aaron Gwin. Out of the gate, he was impressed with the initial level of performance, but he did have a list of improvements needed to achieve world cup winning performance. Working closely with the TRP development team, improvements were made in nearly every part of the brake and tested on the world cup circuit throughout the season. The result is G-Spec, Aaron Gwin asked and we delivered every detail. We took most of the changes made to the DH-R EVO brakes and put them into the more affordable standard Quadiem. This brake features the same ergonomic lever made from cast aluminum and a forged/CNC’d caliper. Both of which have been given a matte black finish. It also features a new and stiffer 5.0 mm hose for easier internal routing and better transfer of hydraulic power. In the brake riders will also find hybrid pistons (Composite/Stainless) for improved heat dissipation, tool free indexed reach adjust and cooling fins on the caliper.
